The 31st Democrats are having our annual SUMMER PICNIC! Join us as we socialize, eat some food, chat with our fellow Democrats, hear from some electeds, and raise money to support our candidates this fall.
What: Picnic, Silent Auction, and Dessert Dash
When: Saturday, August 29th, from 5pm
Where: Sunset Park, 1420 69th Street SE, Auburn
Who: 31st members, families, and friends. This means you!
PICNIC: The 31st LD is providing burgers, dogs and veggie options cooked up on-site. We just ask you bring something to share potluck according to the first letter of your last name:
A-D: Fruit or Salad
E-H: Appetizer
I-M: Non-Alcoholic Beverage to Share
N-S: Chips or Side Dish
T-Z: Dessert
SILENT AUCTION: Item donations still accepted! If you’d like to see some of the items already donated, there’s more info here (with pictures!).
DESSERT DASH:
- Volunteers will donate homemade or storebought desserts/sweets valued at at least $25.00, which will be displayed at the picnic. Desserts are full-size – a whole cake, a whole pie, a plate of cookies or cupcakes, etc.
- Dessert Dash Tickets are available for purchase at the picnic for an entry bid of $25.00 and may be increased before the Dash begins, in increments of $1.00. (Cash preferred).
- At a pre-arranged time, ticketholders will “dash” to the dessert table in order from highest bid to lowest bid, with higher bids choosing their tasty treats first!
- Folks can pool their donations together and bid as a group (sharing one dessert) to buy a head start!
