Want to have fun with some other 31st LD folks and have a hand in shaping the direction of the Democratic party in Washington? Register to be a 31st Legislative District Delegate to the WA State Democratic Convention June 22 in Bellevue, WA! All 31st District residents who will certify they identify as a Democrat are eligible to participate!
If you’d like to get an idea of who you’d be joining at the convention, click HERE! The 31st LD has automatic delegates from amongst our leadership that will be attending too, but these are the volunteers who have registered as delegates so far. They’d love to have you join them.
Our district has at least 20 delegate positions available (plus alternates if needed), and we need you! We will be holding a really fun event on April 6, 2024 to officially celebrate everyone who registers to be a delegate, and all members of the 31st will then vote. They’ll join over 1,000 State Delegates elected by their local Democratic Party organizations in the state’s 49 legislative districts. They’ll all work together to nominate the Party’s candidates for Governor and other statewide offices, approve the State Party’s official platform, and conduct other Party business. State convention delegates will also be eligible to attend our Congressional District caucuses, where they’ll vote to select the National Delegates who will attend the DNC Convention in Chicago in August!
