Part I – Candidate Background

1. Please briefly describe your qualifications, education, employment, community and civic activity, union affiliation, prior political activity, and other relevant experience.

I was recently appointed as an associate supervisor at the King Conservation District. I am a Pharmaceutical Representative and have a Masters. I live in west Seattle and am in engaged in my legislative district as a PCO, and executive board member and I am on of the state committee persons and serve as a co-chair of the Affirmative Action Committee. I also serve as the Chair of the Veterans, Seniors, Human Services Levy Advisory Board of King County. I served as the Elector of the 7th Congressional District in 2016.

2. What prompted you to run for this office? What are your campaign’s most important themes, issues, or priorities (three to five)?

I have been a beekeeper for one 5 years and directly the impact of climate change on our environment. Last year I lost my hive due to a prolonged cold and rainy winter. I now that pollinators are on the decline ( Birds, insects, and bees). 2 years ago the bumble bee was placed on the endangered list. We cannot lost or pollinators, specially honey bees because of the vital link they are to continuing our food chain.
I want to see as many people turn their perfectly manicured lawns into wild life habits. I want to see urban area receive for attention in efforts to save some of the vital habits settles through the cites in King County. I want people to remember, as they start their gardens in the spring, to plant native species and to plant a few plants that support pollinator. I want continue to reform the election process at King Conservation District.

3. What steps are you taking to run a successful campaign?

1. I have an active Facebook page
2. Visiting all the LDs in King County
3. Connecting with local and county environmental organizations
4. Door belling to alert voters to our election and the King Conservation District.

1. Why are you requesting Democratic endorsement? What aspects of the Democratic platform most resonate with you?

The environmental platform resonates most with me, but I feel we are not doing as much as we could to slow climate change. I have always been a democrat and believe deeply in the party’s platform and mission.

2. What important local issues have you worked on (or taken an interest in) that you feel aren’t getting enough attention from elected leaders and the media?

Hate. We are not ready to talk about this int he context of our daily lives. I am moderating a discussion about hate and racism in the Greater Seattle Area in January 2020.

3. Please list up to three specific, concrete actions you would support to ease the homelessness crisis.

4. What are the barriers to economic prosperity faced by residents in your jurisdiction, and how do you plan to address them?

5. What are the transportation/transit challenges which face this jurisdiction and how would you address them? What role does rail play in your proposed solutions?

6. What are your jurisdiction’s environmental issues, which ones are urgent and what will you do to address them?

King County has a hoo of environmental issues: Flood planes and flood control. Salmon and orca recovery. The continued contamination of Duwamsih. Sustainability of farms in King County. Traffic and construction across the county continues to grow.

7. Does your district have a taxing authority or propose levies and what changes, if any, would you seek?
