31st L.D. Democrats Executive Board
August 8th, 2018, 7 pm

Called to Order at 7:00pm by Chair Brian Gunn. A quorum of 13 board members were present.
Program for August General Meeting:
Received 4 requests for endorsements of initiatives & bond issues. Consensus to use endorsement vs resolution process, pending speakers on topics at General mtg; M/S/P to request speakers and links to issue sites prior to presentation & motion to endorse can follow.
Primary Election Review:
Good showing by local candidates! Urged to support those candidates who are doing the work w/ donations, LTE’s, canvassing, GOTV phonebanking! Discussed 8th C.D. race and our endorsement for the General Election.

- 8/11 Auburn Fest @ Les Gove Park
- 8/18 Bonney Lake Days
Discussed having LTE/Postcard writing session to share ideas & issues prior to General meeting. Alli will post on website & newsletter.
Sarah, Brian & Robin spoke with Maria Cantwell who expressed high praise for the canvassing efforts being done in the 31st & 47th L.D.’s! She wants to hold a forum in the Lake Tapps region ASAP. Robin is looking at dates & venues.
We need to solicit donations from friendly entities like IBEW & Laborers to refill coffers for the General election. Financial committee has met to begin orientation of practices.
