31st L.D. Democrats General Meeting
March 22, 2017, 7pm

Meeting was called to order at 7pm by Chair Brian Gunn and led Pledge of Allegiance. M/S/C to approve agenda, as amended.

- Josh Trupin, Founder, 8th C.D. Democrats
- Bailey Stober, Chair, King Co. Democrats

Treasurer Report
M/S/C to approve February Treasurer Report as submitted.
Officer Reports
Chair
Brian: Acknowledged the ongoing appreciation of support for the 31 L.D.’s. Time to focus on potential precincts in play for November. Virtual phonebank & script now available to help scrub lists in precincts without a PCO. Volunteers needed: See Brian! Turnout will be critical to victory. Need to fill PCO vacancies in targeted precincts. Candidate recruitment continues and announcements are pending. Buckley mayor may have potential & need encouragement. Will meet with state party leaders regarding possible leads. Need volunteers for Endorsement Committees in both King & Pierce (Angel agreed to participate).
Vice Chairs
Angel: Immigration Rally went well. Need calls supporting Headstart programs at risk. “Renton Resist” is seeing impact of immigration enforcement in community. She has immigration info packets available upon request.
Chris: Encouraged everyone to keep attending the 31st L.D. Democrats meetings and consider becoming a PCO.!
State Committee
Ingrid: Attended 2 meetings with “Indivisible” to identify best methods of defeating Reichart in November.
Kirby: State chair is listening to our body! She is engaged and rebuilding the party. He is on the Technology Committee and is soliciting data to contribute. State convention is in Walla Walla. Fishfeed for P.C. Dems, 4/1 at Fife ILWU; Please support! They remain in dire straits, but are beginning fund raising efforts in earnest
PCDCC
Robin: Donation for the Pierce County Dems are encouraged. Brian noted a new a new fund raising arm of the state party, “The Resistance” will funnel donations to County, State and L.D. affiliates.

Donna: Looking for ways to make fair booths successful. Need volunteers to man at local events in Auburn. Edgewood and Bonney Lake also upcoming. Contact her to help.

Sarah: 72 members signed up to date, including ActBlue additions. Kudos to promotion team!
Newsletter
Allison: 2nd newsletter went out. Looking for volunteers on team & contributions of articles and blogs for content. Exceeded email max and requested approval to extend additional month. Will submit proposal at E-board meeting for new format M/S/C to pay $30 fee to Mailchimp for the month.
Website/Tech
Daniel: Website is live and endorsement page is up.

Robin/Allison: Forming “Resistance Committee” to identify best ways to pool resources: Communications, Liaisons with other groups, organizing. Talk with them if you want to volunteer.
Good of the Order
Britt: Spoke about “GoFundMe” page for Bremerton Councilwoman Leslie Daugs for defense costs following arrest in D.C. for comments made in senate hearing.
Brian: Sought feedback on new meeting room format. Seems to accommodate large group better. Thanks to Kirby & EPFR for additional chairs!
Everybody is encouraged to protest “Fake News” sources at store checkout lines as offensive.
League of Women Voters is putting on Civility & Civil Disobedience Forum, 4/1 at the First United Methodist Church on Tacoma Ave. S.
